Basic information about shamanism and the first attempt to shamanic journey

According to the Urban Dictionary shamanism combines a range of traditional beliefs and practices focusing on communication with the spirit world, and higher power. A practitioner of shamanism is known as a shaman.

It is believed that Shamans are intermediaries between the human and spirit worlds, they can treat illness and are capable of entering supernatural realms to obtain answers to the problems of their community.

"Shamanism must take a lot of heart, care and dedication.”

That was an extract from the Urban Dictionary, but now, in the real world, the question arises: can we easily take a drum-awakened shamanic journey? The answer is both yes and no. For some people, they will have to try for awhile, whilst others (like me), will get there the first time. What helps someone to make that journey to a lower or upper world? Some important elements include surrounding yourself with highly spiritual/vibrational people, opening your heart to the unknown and trusting the process.

When you manage to get to another realm, you can ask your spirit guides and spirit animals about any advice and information you might need. The information you obtain there will, to your surprise (and on return to our 3D reality) match a related Google search. Of course not everything can be “Googled”. Once, I asked my spirit animal (at that time, an eagle), to show me a 360-degree, bird’s eye view during our flight. It didn’t happen the first time, but when it did, it was something worth waiting for! It was something amazing, something which I couldn’t repeat in any other journey or by the greatest efforts of my 3D imagination. It was a once-in-a-lifetime happening…
